The Taurus

One-of-a-kind handcrafted wood sculpture featuring beautiful high-alpine driftwood, sustainably sourced from the Colorado rockies. Taurus gets its name from the Latin word for "bull," and it’s all about unyielding strength and charging energy. It honors high-alpine timber that stood resolute against centuries of mountain storms. I handcrafted this dramatic wall sculpture from Rocky Mountain driftwood gathered at 10,000 feet, showcasing a swirling grain pattern bursting with rich reds, warm yellows, and deep earth tones. I traced its natural contours with delicate gold leaf inlays and filled subtle fissures with a black resin containing shimmering gold flecks. Mounted against an ebony-stained pine backing board, the high contrast really highlights the raw power of the wood.
