The Rigidum

One-of-a-kind handcrafted wood sculpture featuring beautiful Arizona desert driftwood, sustainably sourced from the Sonoran desert. Rigidum is Latin for "stiff" or "firm," honoring the unwavering endurance of ancient timber that holds its structural form against harsh thermal shifts and arid desert winds. Handcrafted from genuine Arizona desert driftwood, this sculpture follows the dense grain and weathered curves of the wood. I meticulously inlaid the natural crevices with crushed genuine turquoise to create a flowing mineral stream across the surface. Mounted on a sleek, minimalist base, it balances rugged desert character with a very refined presentation.
