The Oculi

One-of-a-kind handcrafted wood sculpture featuring beautiful teak driftwood, sustainably sourced from Indonesia. Oculi translates to "eyes" in Latin. It’s all about those natural knots and hollows that form as timber shifts over decades. I crafted this from premium Indonesian teak, letting its sweeping, circular opening take center stage. Right at the heart of that opening, I added a delicate inlay of genuine turquoise that sits almost like a vivid iris, contrasting beautifully with the warm, honeyed grain. Mounted on a solid, gallery-grade teak base, it balances raw organic geometry with clean, modern elegance. It’s a serene, thoughtful piece that brings quiet clarity to a desk or console.
