The Luxinterna

One-of-a-kind handcrafted wood sculpture featuring beautiful high-alpine driftwood, sustainably sourced from the Colorado rockies. Luxinterna translates to "inner light." I love the idea that weather-hardened timber can conceal so much warmth waiting to be revealed. I crafted this piece from high-elevation Rocky Mountain driftwood, tracing the ancient grain with smooth taupe inlays to follow its flowing contours. Inside a hand-sculpted cut, I tucked concealed LED lights on a timed controller. As evening falls, a soft, ambient glow spills out through the wood's natural fissures. It’s a fun fusion of raw wilderness grit and modern technology, perfect for adding a subtle, living warmth to an entry console or display niche.
